A Different Kind of Post: My Story and a Free Resource for You

Hello everyone,

For years, my work as a licensed esthetician has been about helping you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin. My commitment to your well-being has always been the foundation of Pink Cactus Waxing. Today, I’m writing a very different kind of post because that commitment goes deeper than the services I provide. This is personal, it’s difficult, but it’s a story I feel a responsibility to share.

In 2023, my life was turned upside down by a severe, systemic reaction to a routine cosmetic botulinum toxin injection. What followed was a journey through a terrifying illness that the medical community struggled to diagnose—an ordeal that has permanently changed my perspective on the beauty industry and the importance of true, informed consent.

As an esthetician who believes in patient safety above all else, my experience revealed a critical gap in the public's understanding of the real risks associated with these common procedures. I felt compelled to do something.

Please know that in sharing this, I am in no way judging anyone for the choices they make with their own body. I care so much about people and believe deeply in personal choice. My only goal is to put this hard-to-find information into your hands so that any decision you make is a truly informed one.

Driven by this, I have spent the last two years compiling my story, the supporting scientific research, and the hidden dangers into a comprehensive guide. It’s called "The Toxin We Trust: A Survivor's Guide to the Hidden Dangers of Botox," and I am offering it to everyone for free on a separate blog - A Toxin's Toll.

My goal is not to scare, but to empower. Inside, you will find my full story, a deep dive into the history and science of the toxin, a chapter on medically documented risks, and resources for those who may be suffering. True beauty is rooted in well-being, and that begins with the truth.
